Live Events Reel
about
During my third year at university, our production team took on the ambitious challenge of designing and executing a full live broadcast setup to showcase the final-year Songwriting and Performance students. Built from the ground up, the multi-camera ecosystem featured seven cameras positioned to capture every nuance of the live musical performances, from intimate acoustic close-ups to wide, immersive stage shots. Managing the technical infrastructure alongside a live studio audience demanded sharp coordination and a clear understanding of live broadcast workflows.
Throughout the 2UBE Xtra production, I actively rotated through a variety of core broadcast roles, including camera operation, directing, and vision mixing. Experiencing the control room from multiple vantage points gave me a comprehensive view of how each position feeds into the final output. Stepping into the director’s chair while simultaneously vision mixing required real-time decision-making, rhythmic visual pacing, and seamless communication with the camera operators to keep up with the dynamic tempo of the musical acts.
This showreel brings together the standout clips from the sessions I directed and vision mixed live on the day. It highlights my ability to handle high-pressure live control room environments, maintain visual momentum across a complex multi-camera rig, and translate raw live music into a polished, engaging broadcast.
