"Is the higher education system broken?"

It’s a question that constantly hits the headlines, yet the debate rarely features the people actually living it. Instead, students are reduced to data points—tuition rates, debt figures, and employment statistics on a spreadsheet.

Our new documentary, Hopes and Dreams, shifts the focus back to where it belongs. By centering the voices of students, graduates, and academic communities, the film delivers a grounded, honest look at modern university life. We take a balanced approach to explore both sides of the coin: the incredible opportunities higher education can unlock, and the heavy systemic pressures that come with it. Through personal stories of drive, debt, and determination, Hopes and Dreams reveals the human reality behind pursuing a degree today.
